Suigousai (…‹½Õ) is a fireworks festival annually held in Matsue city on the first Saturday and Sunday. It is one of the biggest festival in San'in region. Approximately 10,000 fireworks are set off in the two days at the east shore of Lake Shinji.
The Lake Shinji is designated as The Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance for its abundance of aquatic life, and is known for its magnificent sunset view.
