Located at Daisen Masumizu Plateau Ski Resort, Matsuoka Restaurant is a well-established restaurant serving Daisen Okowa. Okowa is a type of dish in which sticky rice is mixed with all kinds of vegetables and meat and steamed.

The owner himself thrust into the forest of Mt. Daisen and collect edible wild plants. They also use home-grown vegetables. The rice was sit overnight under the water, and cooked with bracken, Japanese royal fern, mushrooms, chicken and 10 other ingredients. The natural flavor of vegetables and meat macerate in the rice grains.

Okowa with handmade soba noodles is the most popular dish at the restaurant.
